The name Bagroy was taken from the usual expression of the aged persons whenever a teen-ager, especially related, committed a mistake. The older ones would say, “Karon, mabagrong ulo mo” (By and by, your head would sound).
It means that when the culprit is hit on the head, the young would surely make a sound because of the pain. This was a punishment for the mistake committed.
