Barangay Poblacion is only 21.5 kilometers south of Bacolod City. Being at the heart of the city, it is the center of trade and commerce; and hosts the City Hall, other major government infrastructures, institutions, and other government offices.
The 8,000-seater Manuel Y. Torres Memorial Coliseum and Cultural Center which was built to the tune of thirty-five million pesos of local funds is an iconic structure found at the very center of the City plaza. Bantayan Park, along Bago River attracts nature lovers, sightseers, walkers, runners, and also food enthusiasts.
